Frequently asked questions

Does the app track location?

eNeighbor does not show your location to your family or keep a location history. On iOS, the operating system may wake the app when the device moves to a new area; we use that only to confirm the device is reachable.

Does my family member get notified every morning?

Only if there's no phone activity by mid-morning. On a normal day, your contact won't receive any notification at all.

What happens if the phone is off or out of battery?

If the app is unable to report activity, your contact will receive a notification so they can check in — the same as if the phone hadn't been used.

Is my data shared with anyone?

Activity status is shared with your paired contact so eNeighbor can work. We also use service providers, such as Firebase and Cloudflare, to operate the app. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details.
